
This transition usually happens at after dealing 25% damage to Malthael's health. Unlike other multi-phase bosses, Malthael does not stop combat with a cutscene to trigger the next phase. The orbs deal heavy damage and you can die quickly if you are not careful to dodge the orbs. PRO TIP: If you are a Melee class or have a build that requires you to stand in Melee range, be very careful with this ability. Players in the Death Fog will take heavy damage over time until they move out of the Death Fog. Malthael will periodically summon a Death Fog and slowly moves around the platform. Any players hit by charge will be knocked back and take a small amount of damage. Malthael will target a random player and charge at them. This ability is typically used before Malthael uses the next ability, Charge. This ability also gives Malthael a chance to reflect projectiles. Any players standing inside of the ring will take damage.

Malthael will surround himself with a gret colored ring. Upon beginning the event, players will be teleported to the south side of the platform and Phase 1 begins.ĭuring Phase 1, Malthael has only a few abilities that he will challenge players with. There are two Health wells available to players on this encounter, one on the West and the other on the East side of the circular combat zone.

Malthael is a 3-phase encounter that challenges players with a multitude of abilities that players will need to pay attention to.
